Annual reports

The SAR Annual report 2022 is the second from the Swedish Arthroplasty Register and includes data of operations performed until 31st of December 2021. We have continued the work to present data of hip and knee replacement surgery, as far as possible, in uniform manner. The report shows, among other things, that the pandemic had an impact on prosthetic surgery in 2021 as well. The production loss in 2021 was however not as large as compared to 2020. Despite another pandemic year and intense work with the merger, the research production, with data from the register, has continued to be high.

In 2021 the Swedish Arthroplasty Register issued a joint annual report for knee and hip replacement surgeries for the first time. Previous annual reports are published separately by the Swedish Knee Arthroplasty Register and the Swedish Hip Arthroplasty Register.
