Content that is not accessible
This website partially meets the requirements of the law on accessibility to digital public services. There are shortcomings described below.
Lack of compliance with legal requirements
- Sometimes English text appears on otherwise Swedish-language pages. This usually concerns titles of scientific articles. We have not yet found a way to get screen readers to switch the reading language in these situations.
- Pages with interactive statistical graphs cannot be fully controlled using only a keyboard. We are continuously working to improve this.
Unreasonably burdensome adjustment
When it comes to PDFs and other downloadable documents, we invoke exceptions for unreasonably burdensome adjustment according to 12 § of the law on accessibility to digital public services. There are currently no resources for the extensive effort that would be required to make all documents accessible. However, we intend to the greatest extent possible to meet the accessibility aspects when the documents are renewed in the future.
This is how we tested the website
Manual tests have been carried out to ensure that all functions can be used only with the help of a keyboard and that screen readers can read out the pages correctly. The screen readers that have been used in testing are the Windows screen reader and NVDA, both with English as the language setting.
Automated tests have been done using the built-in accessibility checks found in the Chrome and Firefox browsers. In addition, tests have been carried out using WAVE which is a downloadable extension for Chrome.
