2022-12-12This is the second annual report for the merged Swedish Knee Arthroplasty Register and Swedish Hip Arthroplasty Register. It includes data of operations performed until 31st of December 2021. We have continued the work to present data of hip and knee replacement surgery, as far as possible, in uniform manner.
The report shows, among other things, that the pandemic had an impact on prosthetic surgery in 2021 as well. The production loss in 2021 was however not as large as compared to 2020. Despite another pandemic year and intense work with the merger, the research production, with data from the register, has continued to be high.
