This is the first annual report for the merged Swedish Knee Arthroplasty Register and Swedish Hip Arthroplasty Register. The report shows a dramatic decline in the number of knee and hip replacement surgeries during the pandemic year 2020, but despite the pandemic, it also shows a high research activity.
